   This is primarily a book of astrology and would no doubt be consulted by people, who know ABC of Astrology—what is a horoscope, what is the rising sign—how it is calculated, what are the cusps of the houses—and what are the limits of 'house' on either side, how to determine the longitude of a planet and in which sign and which house to put it. These and several other matters are a little too technical for the layman to understand. Although some of the astrological words and phrases have been explained at the end, yet there are certain matters—preliminary to the study of this book with which the readers must become acquainted, to understand and appreciate the astrological maxims. To begin with, what is a horoscope ? Horoscope is the chart of the heavens—skies as it existed at the time of birth of a person and as seen or visualised from the place of birth.
